We are a local gardening club in Biddenden in Kent and have regular meetings on the 4th Wednesday evening of each month from 7.15 pm to approximately 9.30 pm in Biddenden Old Village Hall. TN27 8BB.
We are a friendly group of people with the same interest – ‘gardening’ – whether it be flowers, fruit or vegetables – our aim is to assist each other with any problems and generally enjoy our meetings.
The ethos of the Biddenden Horticultural Society is to enjoy being with like-minded people who share an interest in gardening, to have informative evening and daytime meetings with either a speaker or members sharing their expertise, and to get together for outings locally and further afield. Although the Autumn show is a competition, it is just for fun. We want to keep it all light-hearted and jolly and for members to have a relaxing evening.
As a member, you will enjoy the benefit of:
- Advice from experts and other members.
- Answers to any gardening problems you may have.
- Discounts on the purchase of seeds and plants.
- Visits to gardens (some in combination with the Tenterden Horticultural Society), nurseries and other gardening venues.
At our meetings, we regularly hold quizzes, sell and swap plants and excess produce with other members, and our last meeting of the year is our AGM with a Cheese and Wine Evening.
Why not come and join us? If you like what you see, maybe you would like to join. It is not expensive and you could meet some new friends.
